I had these shoes when I played 8th grade basketball (varsity, I might add) for Mayfield Middle School. The year was 1995 (Jesus I am old). We went 0-13. Half of our team was academically ineligible by the end of the season, which meant a lot more playing time for me!
These shoes were the shit. I was never a shoe horse by any means but when my favorite player Shawn Kemp came out with a shoe, I had to have them. There is a pair currently for sale on Ebay with a buy-it-now price of $225.
I hope Shawn held on to a few of these, with all his drug problems and his 19 illigitimate kids, I am sure he could use the money.
